I love being part of such a great team, and giving back to the community is an awesome way to be helpful! Meals on wheels is fun.

Drama production

My part in our Xmas production was to be Mary. I have grown in my self confidence so much. I was out  on stage smiling holding the baby Jesus.

Outing

Brooke and I went out this morning to pick up our safety fence. While we were driving along the road I spotted a train and it was loaded with logs.

Helping with centre shopping

I've been helpful today going to New World to get the supplies for the centre, it was petty exciting seeing all the Christmas decorations that are on display!

Craft cafe

This week at craft cafe we had a speaker join us, he is impressive with his skills, he showed us his weaving and braiding, he practises a Japanese art of braiding, and teaches classes and has written books about his craft!

Making the most the sun

I love being helpful, we go weekly to check how our garden plot is going, this week the plants were well watered from the rain so we just tidied, making sure we take our rubbishy away with us, here I am clearing leaves, so our plants can see the sun

Learning a new skill

I'm learning about sanding and renovation, it's super fun to be part of a group project, we have a couple of ideas for our table, I can't wait to see how it turns out! Watch this space!

I really like being helpful, and unloading the dishwasher makes me feel satisfied, I can put everything away and its a job well done!

New cushion

Look at my beautiful cushion that Jacky helped me make, I love the colours and heart shape, and really enjoyed stuffing it, it will look lovely in my room at home!

Stretching my body with yoga

I'm practising my yoga moves. Learning to keep my body healthy, excersie is important, and yoga is so fun

I'm helping paint the background of marshalls fish project, of course I've got my apron on to protect my lovely clothes, I love the colour.

New top

Lucky me I am wearing a new top today. I think it's really pretty.

I enjoyed playing music for my friends and having a little dance to the keyboard music, it made me happy to see us all having so much fun together

Busy and helpful day

I had a great time helping decorate bottle caps in craft cafe, then got stuck into my centre chores, I'm such a good utensil sorter!

Sushi

I made sushi with everyone at the studio even though I didn't enjoy eating it.I had fun helping at the supermarket and making sushi.

Crown

I brought my special crown to the studio this week. I was really proud to show everyone what I had made over the weekend at my flat.

Vacuuming the van

Look how helpful I am with my friends vacuuming the van, was so nice to have a beak from the rain and get outside!

I'm enjoying the centre based activities with my arohanui friends, keeping warm and winning at cards

Karen's art visit

We went to visit a former staff of Arohanui, Karen, at her art studio, what an amazing space and lovely visit with an old friend!

Watching the sound of music

I had a wonderful time supporting my friends peforming the sound of music with their drama class, it was great seeing other friends from the other arohanui centres!

Winter fashion

I'm warming my hands with the wheat bag, while checking out the latest fashions.  I enjoy looking my best, as you can see, I've coordinated my outfit and hair piece quite nicely!

I'm not sleeping!

Looking in the magazine for some collage inspiration, super comfy I could nearly fall asleep!

Plunket

We went and delivered our blankets on Wednesday to the local plunket nurse. She showed us where they weigh the babies.

Here I am preparing the bassinete sheets we have made at the studio to take to plunket. We have made blankets as well.

Animals

I went to a pets party at Wilrose there was a rat, chicken,pony,goat and even a blue tongued lizard. I just loved to hold all the little furry ones.

New experience for me.

I have been to craft cafe this week with Nicole. We made candles using shells. We can't wait to show everyone at the studio how to do this. Watch this space.

Blue Ball

Throwing and catching takes a lot of concentration. I had a go and I was good at this game.

Volunteering

We had a day down at countdown where the generous people of Te Puke donated to help all the children with cancer. My job was to say thank you and give out the stickers.

Cushion making

We have been busy making a cushion. My job this morning was to put some stuffing inside.

I chose my own colour of nail polish today. I think that my nails are beautiful.

I was very helpful this morning vacuuming out the van. I also have a new purple water bottle which is just great as I get very hot while I am working.
